<p>In its work position, the machine's distributor bar considerably exceeds, on both sides, the width of the tractor, and can be placed in a working position or in a transport position. The bar is divided into at least two parts which are arranged to be able to turn about two axes to be approximately horizontal and oriented in the direction of travel. In the working position the interior parts of the bar are held in a position approximately parallel to the surface of the ground while the exterior parts of the bar are supported by cables (8,9). The cables can be used to raise the bars about the pivots, while a spring is used to compensate the weight of the arm. A sliding lock mechanism spans the outer pivot to retain the bar in the horizontal position during working.</p> |
