<p>The lock comprises an electric motor which controls a locking mechanism, and is suitable for oven doors which are pivoted about either horizontal or vertical axes. The motor unit is mounted above a locking hook, inside oven, and is directly linked to the locking catch which mates with the hook to lock the door. The motor unit comprises a rotating output shaft from a gearbox unit driven by an electric motor. The output shaft is fitted with a bolt, the extremity of which is shaped as a cam which forms the catch engaging in the locking hook. The opening of the door is obtained by rotating the bolt and the cam through a half-turn, in response to activation of the lock by the user pressing a push button switch.</p> |
