PURPOSE:To maintain uniform intensity by providing a slit at a position facing a line of generated light spots of a leader electrode. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied to a leader electrode 8 and a filament cathode 5, electrons are extracted from the filament cathode 5. Then, when a voltage is applied to an anode 2b, extracted electrons hit the phosphor 2a on the anode 2b to illuminate, thus forming light spots 2. At this time, the slit 8a of the leader electrode 8 faces a line of light spots 2, thereby its mesh is not overlapped with the light spots. Accordingly, the intensity of the light spots 2 is not reduced and no intensity difference occurs between the light spots, thus excellent intensity can be maintained. |
