<p>PURPOSE:To reduce pressure loss at the time of discharge stroke of a compressor and to prevent over-compression of a fluid, by employing such a mechanism that a smallest enclosed space is communicated with discharge passages promptly when the compression stroke is terminated. CONSTITUTION:In an end plate of a fixed scroll of a motor driven compressor having a scroll compression mechanism, there is formed a discharge passage 101 which comes near to the outer line 100 of a lap of a revolving scroll at the end of the compression stroke of the compressor, i.e., at the position where laps 10, 13 come into contact with each other at their volute tongue portions 33, 34 and a smallest enclosed space is formed therebetween. When the revolving scroll revolves further, the volute tongue portions 33, 34 are moved away from the inner wall surfaces 37, 36 of the mating laps and discharge passages 102, 103 are formed between the laps 10 and 13, so that gas in compression chambers 31, 32 is discharged into a discharge chamber 35. At the same time, the outer line 100 is moved across the passage 101 and the compression chamber 31 is communicated directly with a section A of the passage 101. Therefore, the communication between the compression chamber 31 and the discharge passage 101 is established promptly and a sufficient area of gas passage can be obtained.</p> |
