INTERFACIAL GROWTH OF CELLS IN TISSUE CULTURE

摘要

Cells are grown on or in droplets of a first liquid dispersed in a second liquid, where one of the liquids is sterile aqueous tissue culture medium and the other liquid is non-toxic to living cells and is relatively immiscible with water. An improved method employing a "stiffened" protein layer is also disclosed for cell culture in multi-phase liquid cell growth systems.
