PURPOSE:To enable a casing for a paper-storing part to be detachably fitted to a printer and carried and enable to replace a recording paper easily and speedily, by a method wherein a storing part for a recording paper is made to be independent of a printing part together with a platen and a paper-feeding means, and a casing for the independent parts is provided with a handle and a member for positioning it against the printing part. CONSTITUTION:To fit the recording paper 8 into a paper-storing chamber 9, a door 5 is opened towards the operator by gripping a handle 6, a stack 8b of recording paper 8 is placed in position, an end part of the paper 8 is led out through a guide roller 19, is guided onto the surface of the platen 11, and only a journal paper 8a is fitted to a shaft core part of a take-up reel 3 through a paper guide and a guide roller 20. When the paper 8 is completely used, the paper 8a has been taken up on the roll 3. To replace the paper 8, a cassette 1 is drawn out from a support base 23 by releasing a locking mechanism by gripping the handle 2, and another cassette with the paper 8 fitted therein is set into the printing part. |
