PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of replacing a liner and to enable to disassemble draft pipes of a water turbine or the like in a safe and simple manner, by housing the disassembled draft pipes in a draft tube liner. CONSTITUTION:In case of detaching a runner 2, for instance, of a Francis water turbine to the outside, a draft pipe 8 is lowered by detaching coupling bolts 12 while suspending the same by use of a crane or the like. After lowering another draft pipe 9 in the same way, the draft pipes 8, 9 are held in place securely by fixing members 18, 19 respectively to the tops of the draft pipes 8, 9, and then the liner 2 is carried into a passage 11 from the opening of the draft pipes. After replacing of the runner 2, the draft pipes are suspended again and assembled to the original places. By employing such a method, it is enabled to omit transportation of the draft pipes 8, 9, to house them compactly in a draft tube liner 10, and hence to omit the place for storing the draft pipes. |
