In an ironing machine, having an elastic foam material coating (2), which can be mounted on the ironing roller cylinder (1), and a wrapping mat (3) a slot-shaped or groove-shaped receptacle (6), extending preferably over the entire roller length, is provided for the exchangeable mounting of the wrapping mat (3) on the ironing roller cylinder (1). Fixed positively in this receptacle (6) is a bar-shaped or strip-shaped fastening (4) which is connected to the beginning of the wrapping. As a result, the wrapping mat (3) can be fixed precisely in position on the ironing roller cylinder (1) and the exchange of the wrapping mat (3) is facilitated. <IMAGE>
