The invention relates to a window or a window wing, especially made of wood with insulating glazing, a plurality of glass panes being connected to one another in an air-tight manner by means of a spacer profile to form a multiple pane. The invention evident from the drawing resides essentially in that the outer pane (3a) forms an all-round edge (3aa) projecting above the spacer profile (4), the window frame or casement (1) having a rebate (2) in the same way as for a single glazing, in that the projecting pane edge (3aa) lies on a compensating base (5) made of elastic material, and an inner gasket (8) made of soft material is arranged between the set-back edge faces of the multiple pane and the adjacent faces of the window frame or casement (1). <IMAGE>
