Structural element for underfloor heating

A structural element for underfloor heating has an intrinsically rigid upper layer which faces the room to be heated, is fastened on an underlayer and carries the heating water. The underlayer is formed by a dimensionally stable, compression-resistant hollow board of plastic. In order to ensure simple installation and high fatigue resistance, layers of woven fabric are embedded in the upper side and in the underside of the hollow board. They are stiffened by layers of glass fibre-reinforced plastic. The marginal edges of the hollow board are sealed watertightly all around. The hollow board is fastened on a self-supporting backing board as an underlayer. Water connections for the hollow board are arranged in the backing board and can be connected at the marginal edges of the latter.
