A rotary magnetic head carrier for VTR comprises a rotary structure having a cylindrical outer peripheral surface with at least one recess which receives at least part of magnetic head. Each recess is open at the peripheral surface with two side tip edge parts at opposite sides of the opening. The tip edge parts are deformed by pressing inwardly with a punch so that the tip edge parts do not project outwardly of surface. That edge of said opening extending between the tip parts and perpendicular to retational axis of rotary structure may also be deformed inwardly by punch. |
