<p>Waste sulfuric acid having a content of metal sulfate is spray dried in a drying chamber into which metal oxide is injected. Thereby free acid is neutralized and water evaporated to produce metal sulfate as a dry powder. The dry metal sulfate powder may be calcined to form sulfur oxides to be used in manufacture of sulfuric acid, and metal oxide, a part of which may be used in the process for neutralizing further amounts of waste sulfuric acid.</p> |
