PURPOSE:To avoid the necessity of large-capacity storage batteries and generators which were required in the former, by performing engagement of main and subflywheels by means of the magnetic flux generated from the core member consisting of a permanent magnet and releasing said engagement by deenergizing the magnetic flux of the core member. CONSTITUTION:In the low revolution number range in which an engine is started and the number of revolutions of the engine reaches the revolution numbers for releasing a clutch, the current induced in an AC generating clutch coil 10 by the revolution of a main flywheel 4 is consumed in a resistor 34, thus preventing a high voltage from beind induced in the coil 10. Therefore, the main and the sub-flywheels 4 and 17 are integrally revolved in the engaged state. When the number of revolutions of the engine reaches the high speed revolution number range, the current induced in the coil 10 is supplied into a clutch field coil 13, and the magnetic flux of a permanent magnet coil 12 is offset by said electric current, and the main and the sub-flywheel 4 and 17 are brought into the released state. |
