PURPOSE:To simply compensate detecting voltage to measure the quantity of toner without using a measuring device by compensating the detecting voltage of a toner quantity detector through a variable resistor. CONSTITUTION:It is defined that an IC 501-1 generates a signal to a toner residual quantity displaying circuit 7 when the toner residual quantity is 80g in normal characteristics. The detecting voltage V is 5.4V. However when the characteristics are changed by the variation of frequency (f) or the like, the IC 501-1 does not output the signal to the circuit 7 even if the toner residual quantity is reduced <=80g. Therefore the detecting voltage V when the toner residual quantity is ''0'' is adjusted to V0 (about 4.9-5.1V) by adjusting a variable resistor VR 501. Consequently the toner residual quantity can be precisely detected. Lighting of an LED 501 informs the completion of said adjustment. Thus the detecting voltage for the measurement of toner quantity can be simply compensated without using a measuring device. |
