摘要 PURPOSE:To strengthen the adhesion between liquid crystal glass cells and polarizing plate in the stage of laminating the polarizing plates on said cells by sandwiching the liquid crystal cells and the polarizing plates between two pieces of endless belts of polyimide or the like, and passing the same between >=2 sets of heated rubber rolls for press contact moving in synchronization with the belts. CONSTITUTION:A set of upper and lower rubber rolls 5 for press contact lined with rubber having 60 deg. JIS-A rubber hardness at about 20 thickness are provided in >=5 sets and 12 sets. Barlike heaters are provided at the center of the rolls 5 to heat the rolls to 70+ or -5 deg.C. Immediately after a liquid crystal cell 4 is laminated with a polarizing plate 1, the cell is conveyed with endless belts 6, 7 which are moved in synchronization with the rolls 5. The liquid crystal display element is conveyed under application of heat and pressure with tension rolls 8, whereby the adhesive strength between the glass plate of the cell and the polarizing plate is increased. Thus, the stripping of the plate 1 under severe service conditions such as high temp. and high humidity is prevented.
