PURPOSE:To attain less-expensive and small-sized video signal recorder/reproducer, by using a solid-state image pickup device for image pickup at recording, and using it for delay at reproduction. CONSTITUTION:Switches S1, S2 are opened at recording and a changeover switch S3 is selected to the contact R position. Then, a light from an objective is photoelectric-converted at pickup sections 21-2n of a solid-state image pickup element 1, stored as signal charges and shifted to transfer sections 31-3n. Further, based on a vertical transfer clock pulse from a clock pulse generator 7, the signal charges at the transfer section are transferred to a shift register 4, where parallel series conversion is executed and the signal is applied to a process circuit 16 and supplied to a recording system circuit. At reproduction, the switches S1, S2 are closed, and the switch S3 is turned on to the contact P side. Thus, the clock pulse from the generator 7 is applied to the register 4 and an input shift register 5, and the clock transferring the signal charges vertically is applied to the sections 31-3n, and the element 1 is activated as the delay element and the output is fed to the reproduction system circuit. |
