Solid material contg. F with a particle size 30-200μ was treated pyhydrolytically in an expanded-fluidized bed. The gaseous products were cooled in a multi-stage turbulence cooler by injecting cooled inert solids into the gases. The heated solids were recycled to another app. where they were used to preheat O2-contg. gases to be used in the fluidized bed reactor. Thus, coal 1210, H2O 3100, and fluorite (CaF2 95%, particle size 100-200μ, d. 1.2 kg/l) 1540 kg/hr were added, and also added fluidizing air at 400≦̸C and 3000 m3/hr, and air at 550 ≦̸C and 7000 m3/hr to a fluidized bed reactor. The gaseous product contg. CO2 4.8, O2 2.1, HF 5.0, N2 58.0 and H2O 20 wt.% was cooled with Al2O3.
