PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic recording characteristics, by providing a mechanism in which a magnetic disc head incorporated with a slider is supported and independently rotatable from a gimbal spring applying depression to the head at the same time, and making a head gap to keep the right angle to a track at all times. CONSTITUTION:Figure shows an outline of the magnetic disc head and an overview of the magnetic head. The slider 41 and the magnetic head 42 incorporated with the slider are supported with a gimbal spring 43. Further, a rotary mechanism 45 is applied, in which the slider 41 is freely rotatable by taking a point 44 of the gimbal spring applied with depression as a center. As to the rolling and pitching of the slider, the direction is fixed at an insertion section, then the role of conventional gimbal spring is sufficiently displayed. Since the pressure is applied as conventionally, a suitable floating is kept. |
