PURPOSE:To improve starting and warming characteristic of an engine, by accumulating an almost total amount of warmed cooling water in a heat insulating tank after a stop of the engine and supplying the cooling water from the heat insulating tank to the engine at its starting. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating tank 3 is connected to an output pipe 1 of a radiator R through a connecting pipe 7 equipped with a solenoid valve 9, and a connecting pipe 4 equipped with a pump 12 and solenoid valve 8 to reach a water pump P via an intake manifold 5 is connected to said tank 3. When an engine is stopped, the valve 8 is closed and the valve 9 and a solenoid valve 10 for air bleed of the tank 3 are opened to accumulate an almost full amount of warmed cooling water in the tank 3, after elapsed a prescribed time, the valves 9, 10 are closed. At starting, the valves 8, 10 are opened, after the cooling water is supplied to an engine cooling system, the valves 8, 10 are closed. Further a negative pressure valve 11 is provided to the upper end of the radiator. |
