PURPOSE:To eliminate defective running to a magnetic medium, by increasing the thickness of each nonmagnetic substance of a pair of reinforced cores toward the lower magnetic path of a magnetic head gradually. CONSTITUTION:The reinforced cores 11, 11 are formed symmetrically and provided with the magnetic substance 12 and the nonmagnetic substance 13. The entire width 18 of a core main body 10 is selected to have a thickness corresponding to the track width. The cores 11 have an external size in matching with the magnetic path forming plane of the core main body 10. The nonmagetic substance 13 is formed with a glass member having a characteristic near a thermal expansion coefficient of the material of the core main body 10, one side 21 is in contact with the magnetic substance 12 and the 2nd side 22 contacts the core main body 10. The shape of the nonmagnetic substance 13 at tape running direction of a tape contact surface is made coincident with tha shape of a tape contact surface 15 of the core main body substantially, and the thickness is gradually increased from the tape contact surface to the magnetic substance body 12. Since the nonmagnetic substance 13 is attached to the core main body 10 with a small corner 24 so as to mitigate the sharpness of a corner 23 of the body 10, no adhesion with tape is caused. |
