PURPOSE:To accurately operate an engine with an injection quantity characteristic suitable for a respective operational condition, by providing an electric governor, which controls a fuel adjusting member by using an electric servo means, to a fuel injection pump of a Diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection pump A is equipped with operational condition detectors 1a-1g detecting an operational condition of a Diesel engine as an electric signal, central processing unit 6 fetching this electric signal to calculate a target fuel injection quantity, error detector circuit 9 comparing command voltage with an actural injection quantity signal, and an electric control circuit 16 contained with a pulse width modulator circuit 11 converting an error output of the circuit 9 to duty ratio and driver circuit 12 of a solenoid actuator. Further the pump A is equipped with a linear solenoid 2 adjusting a spill ring 3 in a position corresponding to the target fuel injection quantity. While as a detector generating an actural injection quantity signal, a position detector 1g detecting a position of the ring 3 is used. |
