A container made of thermoplastic, which is particularly suitable for yoghurt, is produced by thermoforming from plastic film and consists of a hollow body, which widens substantially towards the top and opens out into a flat rim, and of a closure lid which can be sealed with the hollow body by the attachment or welding-on of a tin foil disc. According to the invention, the container is characterised in that, by pressing the lid (16, 16', 16'') in between the wall sections (10, 12, 28, 32, 33) which connect a step (9, 9') in the hollow body (7) to the flat rim (11), the elastically deformable peripheral wall (20, 31, 35) can be squeezed together in the radial direction by the presence of at least one channel (40, 50, 60) located between said peripheral wall and a handle (18, 19). <IMAGE> |
