<p>PURPOSE:To improve the strength at the welding portion by welding between the end faces of a plate and rib plate while exposing the inner and outer faces of a cover plate to the atmosphere to form a base welding portion, then forming a superficial welding portion by laminating it over the base welding portion while cooling the inner face of the plate. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of rib plates 11 are welded on a runner crown 2a and a runner band 2b of a runner 2, then a cover plate 12 is welded across each rib plate. At the welding, one end face 12a of the cover plate 12 is butted against the upper end face 11a of the rib plate 11 to form a right angle opening, then it is welded while exposing the inner and outer faces 21b, 12c of the cover plate to form a base welding portion 15. Thereafter a superficial welding portion 16 is formed on said portion 15 while cooling the inner face 12b of plate by such as the flow.</p> |
