PURPOSE:To improve weather resistance and the adhesiveness of a coating layer, by precoating the surface of a steel plate with a Zn-Ni alloy layer having specified thickness, and then lamelarly spraying Al or Al alloy powder to form the steel plate coated with Al or an Al alloy. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a steel plate is precoated with the layer of Zn- Ni alloy contg. 0.5-80% Ni having thickness of 0.01-0.3mum. Al or Al alloy powder is lamelary applied to the precoated surface by a percoater, roll coater, spray method or the like. Thereafter, the powder-applied steel plate is heated, rolled and then reheated, or rolled, heated, rerolled and then reheated to make the steel plate coated with the Al or Al alloy layer. |
