PURPOSE:To provide water repellency on the surface of a ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer and to improve corrosion resistance by depositing org. titanium compds. on said layer. CONSTITUTION:Org. titanate or titanium coupling agents can be deposited on the surface of a ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer simply by dissolving the same in a suitable solvent such as, for example, ethyl acetate, toluene or tetrahydrofuran, and coating or spraying the soln. obtd. by the dissolution on a ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer which is formed beforehand then drying the same or by dipping said layer in said soln. and drying the same. The preferable amt. of deposition is in a 5-100mg/m<2> range. Magnetic materials such as Co- Fe alloys, Fe-Ni alloys and Co-Ni-P in addition to single metals such as Co and Fe are used as the material for forming the ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer. |
