PURPOSE:To provide a recording medium having excellent corrosion resistance by depositing at least one kind selected among amine, amide, imide and salts of amine on a ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer. CONSTITUTION:The amine, amide, imide and salts of amine to be used are preferably hydrophobic. Arom. amine and aliphat. amine are adequately used as the amine, aliphat. amide as the amide, dibasic acid imide as imide and ''catimin 100 '', ''kileslite RB '' as salts of amine. All these are hydrophobic and have high lipophilicity. If the surface of the metallic thin film is treated with at least one kinds among these materials, a hydrophobic film is formed, by which water repellency is provided and corrosion is prevented well. These materials are deposited by dissolving the same in a suitable solvent such as methyl isobutyl ketone and coating or spraying the soln. The preferable amt. to be deposited is 5-100mg/m<3>. |
