PURPOSE:To record sound signals with multiplexing together with video signals on the same track and to reproduces them, by providing the 2nd track tentatively recording the sound signals on a disc and performing time axis compression without using a memory for time axis compression. CONSTITUTION:In the mode recording the sound signals on the 2nd track 18, switches 21-24 are switched to the (b) side. A disc 1 is controlled only with a discriminator 41 and the revolving speed is reduced to 1/150 of normal value. The sound signals at an input terminal 51 are inputted to a mixer 53, supplied to a head 12 for sound signal compression via the (b) side of the switch 21, and recorded on the 2nd track 18 on real time. In the mode where the sound signals are reproduced with time axis compression and recorded on the 1st track multiplexedly on the video signals, the switches 21-24 are switched to the (a) side again, and the disc 1 shows the normal revolving speed. On the other hand, the sound signals are reproduced at the head 12 to be one input to an adder 33, superimposed on the video signals and applied to a head 8. |
