A position control system consists of a detector detecting positon of the object, a comparator comparing deviation between present and objective positions with reference signal and a servo mechanism operating by control signal. The actuator moves object to desired positon with control signal when deviation is greater than setting value. WHen deviation is less than seeting value, the servo mechanism is started by control signal which is greater than said signal and then it is switched to said servo mechanism which operates with ordinary control signal.
