1322114 Coatings BEKAERT SA NV 19 April 1971 [29 Jan 1970] 20657/71 Heading B2E [Also in Division B5] Ferrous metal substrates are coated by applying molten polyethylene terephthalate thereto and cooling rapidly to solidfy the coating to highly amorphous state. The substrate may be a wire such as a steel wire and it may be heated to 150 to 170‹C. prior to coating. The coating may be applied by extrusion, the polyethylene terephthalate being heated to 250 to 270‹C. The rapid cooling may be effected with cold water. |
