PURPOSE:To maintain the cleaning performance satisfactory at all times, by providing an electrostatic latent image carrying body which has the almost same width as a developing area, and also has formed a slit in the direction crossing the moving direction, and a collecting means of a developer dropping from the slit, on its reverse side. CONSTITUTION:An upstream part 10 of the surface of a photoreceptor of a slit 1a is a cleaning completion surface, and to its down-stream part 10a, a residual developer T1 adheres. The slit 1a is provided along the crossing direction against the rotating direction of the photoreceptor, and both its side ends are positioned at a suitably deep part into the inside from both sides of the photoreceptor 1. That is to say, the photoreceptor 1 is connected endlessly by both side end parts 1c of the photoreceptor 1, and width W of the slit 1a is constituted so as to cover a developing area (w). An opening part 7a is placed at a position opposed to an edge 2a of a cleaning blade 2, and a body 7b stores a developer which has dropped through the opening part 7a. |
