PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the afforestation degree remotely, quickly, and accurately, by processing the outputs signals from a plurality of TV cameras, which obtain various images including the image in an infrared band. CONSTITUTION:A TV camera partIis provided with a vidicon camera 11 which obtains a red band image, a vidicon camera 12 which obtains the infrared band image, vidicon cameras 13 and 11 which obtain stereo images, and a control part 15 for each camera. The outputs of the camera partIare impared to a processing part II. The processing part II is provided with video frame memories 21-23, which store the scanned outputs from the cameras as digital value, respectively and a minicomputer 24. The minicomputer 24 obtains a plant cover ratio of trees from the digital values of the infrared band images from the memories, and also obtains the amount of chlorophyll from the ratio between the digital values of the red band image and the infrared band image, i.e. an activity degree. The minicomputer 24 further computes a thrifitiness rate based on three dimensional images obtained from the stereo images. As a result, the measurement of the afforestation degree can be performed quickly, and accurately. |
