PURPOSE:To count an accurate number of steps, by executing the condition setting for detection of up-down movements of a person's body when he or she is walking and the decision of a detecting signal which is used to improve the counting accuracy in a circuit. CONSTITUTION:A pendulum 12 providing a permanent magnet 16 attached to a free edge part is freely rockable with a base edge part. A reed switch 17 is set opposite to the pendulum 12 and turned on and off in response to t e movement of the pendulum 12 to transmit a detecting signal. An integration circuit contains a capacitor C and a variable resistance VR which receives application of the detecting signal of the switch 17 and can control the time constant that expands the detecting signal. The switching elements Tr1 and Tr2 transmit a pulse signal (c) which is applied to a counter with the output of the integration circuit. Therefore a pulse can be obtained assuredly with each step by setting properly the vibration characteristic constant of a detecting part which detects the up-down movements of a person's body when he or she is walking and also by setting the expanding time of the pulse when necessary with control of the variable resistance VR. |
