PURPOSE:To simplify the structure, and also to easily execute variable power copying, by selecting a change gear ratio of the first and the second speed changing means, respectively, so that at least one of a moving distance and a moving speed of an original scanning means is changed. CONSTITUTION:When a clutch 26 is operated and a clutch 37 is operated, from an A3 size original, an A4-size copying image equivalent to its 0.707 time image is obtained. That is to say, the stroke of mirrors 4, 5 corresponds to the A3- size original, and a reciprocating speed of the mirror 4 is 1/0.707 time as high as a peripheral speed of a photosensitive body. When the clutch 26 is operated and the clutch 37 is not operated, from an A4-size original, an A4- size copying image equivalent to its unmagnification image is obtained. That is to say, the stroke of the mirrors 4, 5 corresponds to the A4-size original, and the reciprocating speed of the mirror 4 is same as the peripheral speed of the photosensitive body. When the clutch 26 is not operated and the clutch 37 is operated, from the A3-size original, an A3-size copying image equivalent to its unmagnification image is obtained. When the clutch 26 is not operated and the clutch 37 is not operated from the A4-size original, an A3-size copying image equivalent to its 1/0.707 time image is obtained. |
