PURPOSE:To provide a thermosensitive recording sheet which is free from contamination of texture due to attachment of alcohol while dispensing a overcoat tending to lower the heat sensitivity by containing a specific phenol-like compound into a heat sensitive coloring layer with a colorless coloring dye. CONSTITUTION:A thermosensitive coloring layer mainly composed of a colorless or light color coloring dye (e.g. crystal violet lactone) and a phenol-like compound (e.g. compound of formulas II-IV)(the ratio by weight between the phenol-like compound and the coloring dye is preferably 1:1-15) of formulaI(R represents halogen and C1-4 alkyl and (n) 0-4) is provided on a supporting body to obtain an intended thermal recording sheet. |
