PURPOSE:To punch the vent holes of a casting mold carried out from a molding machine automatically using mechanical force by mounting punching tools vertically movably with a table which is movable in the directions in parallel with or across the conveying line for casting molds above the conveying line. CONSTITUTION:When a casting mold 9 which is conveyed intermittently in a conveying line for casting molds arrives at punching positions, a locator 6 is moved downward by an air cylinder 8 and is fitted onto a knock pin 11 of a molding flask. Both are fitted smoothly by the movement of a longitudinally and transversely movable stand 4 on a stationary base 3, whereby the mold 9 and the stand 4 are fixed in a specified position relation. Transverse movements are then given to a table 13 movable in parallel with the conveying line, longitudinal movements are given to a table 22 movable in the direction across the conveying line thereon, whereby drills 33 are guided to the prescribed punching positions and are stopped thereto. The drills 33 are rotated and moved downward by air motors 36 and air cylinders 32 in succession to the above, whereby the mold 9 is punched with holes. |
