PURPOSE:To enable the ignition timing to be detected accurately in an ignition timing detector for use in an internal-combustion engine by an arrangement wherein a signal indicative of the time between an ignition signal and a crank angle signal is detected and computed for correction. CONSTITUTION:A signal (A) is generated at a reference crank position. Flip- flops 1, 4 are reset in accordance with the signal (A). The flip-flop 1 is triggered by an ignition signal C. Therefore, pulses D, G indicate a phase difference between the reference signal (A) and the ignition signal C. A signal E which is a logical sum of this signal and the crank angle signal is obtained by an AND gate 2. A pulse I indicative of a phase difference between the ignition signal C and a nearest crank angle signal is obtained by the flip-flop 4 and an exclusive OR gate 5. An arithmetic circuit 6 corrects the signal E with the signal I. This arrangement detects the ignition timing with a high accuracy. |
