The invention relates to a flexible barrier, for example a flexible high pressure tube, for the containment of pressurised fluids and especially of two-phase fluids. The barrier has a first layer of polymer material during use of which, when the barrier is used, is disposed in the vicinity of the fluid that is to be contained, and a second layer that is formed of a polymer material, which after removal of the additive leads to a considerable increase in the permeability of the material of the second layer in comparison with that of the first layer.
