<p>The wheel-clamp for immobilising parked vehicles comprises two jaws (4,6) fixed on two parallel uprights (1,16) which are interconnected by two parallel telescopic bars (7,10). The upper bar (10) consists of an internally threaded sleeve (12) secured to one upright (1) which receives a threaded rod (11) rotatably attached to the other upright so that the distance between the jaws can be adjusted during deployment or removal of the clamp. One upright extends vertically upwards into an arm, the upper end of which carries a plate which bears onto the wheel hub and prevents removal of the wheel nuts.</p> |
