The invention relates to a device suitable for prevention and for existing lesions of intervertebral discs and other spinal disorders, such as circulation, lung function and heart action, and which can not only be used for medical treatments in hospital but also at home and in sports centres. The simply constructed device is a bed-like frame (1) made of wood or plastic which can be activated by means of rollers (2) drilled through on the inside and containing steel wires (4) which are in turn fixed to the frame by means of thread and nut (5), and a mat (3) of rubber or canvas lying on the frame. This universally applicable treatment and training device permits execution of crawling and swimming movements in the smallest possible space. The subject stands on the mat (3) and executes a few jumping and stretching movements, then lies on the abdomen via the crouching position and moves forwards while sliding with crawling, swimming-like movements; depending on the physical constitution the exercises can be repeated several times. <IMAGE>
