Flat stirrup link for round link chain consisting in a link (3) comprised of parallel elbows and semi-circular arches, a bridge (7) connecting the parallel elbows (4, 5) of the link, a snip bar (8) which traverses each of the individual parts. The link is divided in coincident halves which comprise each of them one of the semi-circular arches (6), a short side of the elbow provided with a tenon (18) and an other side of the elbow (11') provided with a recess (29). The bridge and the link elbow are provided with spring locking surfaces (30, 31, 32, 33). It is also provided to make the round bridge (7) correspond to the steel of the chain and the tenon by forming them diagonally symmetric with respect to the center of the link (3), wherein the outer surfaces (26, 27) of the short sides of the elbows are aligned on the transversal plane (25). At least at the tenons (18), the outer edges of the inner bearing surfaces (30, 31, 32, 33) on the sides of the elbows in contact with the bridge (7), as well as the outer surfaces (39) of the tenons, are bevelled by forging (47, 48, 52, 53, 56, 57). |
