PURPOSE:To enable to record on the surface of a base or at a colored layer in accordance with the magnitude of an impressed signal voltage, by a method wherein a color layer capable of masking or suppressing the color of a colored base and a colored layer are sequentially provided on one side of the base, and a vapor-deposited metallic layer is provided thereon. CONSTITUTION:The color layer 3 (e.g., a white color layer) for masking or suppressing the color of the colored base 1 such as a resin film is provided on one side of the base 1 by coating, the colored layer 4 consisting of a material having a melting point lower than that of the layer 3 is provided thereon, and the vapor-deposited metallic layer 5 is further provided thereon, followed by providing a surface protective thin coat layer 6 thereon if required, to obtain the spark discharge recording sheet. When the impressed signal voltage is low, the colored layer 4, for example a red-colored layer, is exposed through a broken hole 7 so that a red-colored character or the like is visualized. On the other hand, when the voltage is high, the colored base 1 is exposed through a broken hole 8 so that a character or the like colored in black, for example, is visualized. |
