PURPOSE:To detect the malfunction state of a pantograph due to the damage of a detecting rod which extends in a direction perpendicular to aerial trolley wires by installing the detecting rod above the trolley wires. CONSTITUTION:A supporting arm 2 is mounted on a mounting piece 14 which is stood on the upper surface of an ear piece 11 which holds trolley wires T. An arm piece 23 which extends sidewisely is provided at the arm 2, and support bearings 24 are provided at the end of both arm pieces 23. The bearing 24 has a groove 25 on the upper surface, a detecting rod 5 of the material which is broken when a moving pantograph makes contact with the groove 25 is supported, and a bent pressing piece 26 is fixed with a screw 26. When the current collecting plate of the pantograph of a running electric car malfunctions like a tilting, the end of the plate which is raised upwardly makes contact with the rod 5, and the rod 5 is broken. The malfunction of the pantograph can be discriminated by the damage of the rod 5. |
