PURPOSE:To input connection information to a computer with no error and at the same time to reduce the labor for production of the information with a producing device for connection information, by securing such a constitution where a segment follow-up sensor moves automatically on the wiring path of each connection system and at the same time counts the number of connection points. CONSTITUTION:The coordinate point of an optional position on a wiring path is read by a coordinate reading means 2 and sent to a control circuit CPU52. The CPU52 controls a servo mechanism 44 to shift a segment follow-up sensor 34 to each coordinate point read previously and searches the connection points between the wiring path and each element and terminal. The count data on the number of those searched connection points is sent to the CPU52. Then image sensors 8a and 8b reads each element name and pin number included in the corresponding connection system and send them to the CPU52. These operations are repeated and the data on each element name, pin number and the number of connection points are fetched by the CPU52 for each connection system. Then the CPU52 produces the connection information based on said data to output it to a CRT 60 and a printer 62.
