PURPOSE:To easily exchange a bucket elevator provided on the tip of a boom, by moving a bucket elevator housing unit to position it to the body of the boom. CONSTITUTION:A bucket elevator housing unit 10 including a plurality of housing bases 15 is moved to a bucket elevator 1 removably mounted on the body 6 of a boom, so that the housing unit is positioned to the elevator. After the boom body 6 is anchored to the ground by a rope 19, the elevator 1 on the boom body is transferred onto an empty housing base 15. After that, a new elevator 1 housed on a base 15 is mounted on the boom body 6. The boom body anchored by the rope 19 is then unanchored. Since the housing unit 10 is easily positioned to the boom body 6, exchange work is quickly effected. Because the boom body 6 remains anchored to the ground when the elevator 1 is removed from the boom body, the center of gravity of a continuous unloader is not greatly displaced. |
