<p>The invention provides for improved directivity and efficiency in an electrostatic speaker and further provides greater linearity without breakup or translational losses over moving coil loudspekers. The invention also provides for a full range loudspeaker unit in a single planar assembly. The loud speaker assembly consists of panels (24, 25), permanent magnets mounted thereon in specific relation, a diaphragm (20), with conductors (23) mounted there on in specific relation. The spacing relation of the elements are determined such that the center of the planar array is capable of high frequency reproduction.</p> |
