The economisers and air heaters heat exchanger for heating boilers consists of at least one core tube, which is connected to the water-conducting interior of the heating boiler and on which there are arranged on the hot gas side a plurality of mutually parallel ribs in the form of fins extending transverse to the core axis. In order to achieve in conjunction with a simple configuration and producibility that condensate formation is largely prevented in the region of the heat exchanger, or that condensate is immediately re-evaporated upon renewed startup of the heating boiler, the heat exchanger is constructed such that in the connecting region (2) to the at least one core tube (3) the fins (1) are provided with an offset (4) of semicircular cross-section which is mounted on the offset region of the adjacent fin (3). The weld seam (5) of a fin (3), which seam forms a heat conducting bridge to the core tube (3), is arranged in a manner shielded from the free end (4') of the offset (4) of the adjacent fin (3). <IMAGE>
