A fodder allocation device, in particular for pig pens and sow cages, consisting of a two-part container, the lower part of which is designed as a fodder trough and the upper part of which, which is separated off by means of a pivotable partition, serves as fodder storage container, in which a pivot shaft of the partition, which extends outwards horizontally beyond both container side walls, is connected to an operating linkage which holds the partition in closed or open position.
