PURPOSE:To prevent wrong setting in the paper feed tray of a copier or the like through simple operation, by swinging arms to displace a paper rear end guide forward or backward to enable the housing of different sizes of paper. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined number of sheets of paper in large size (B4, for example) are put in a cassette tray 1 while a guide 9 is set in a rear position. When paper in small size (B5, for example) is to be thereafter put in the same cassette tray 1, arms 10 are turned by 180 deg. to set the guide 9 in a front position to put the paper in sidewards. Since the length of the arms 10 is equal to about a half of the difference in length between the large and the small sheets of paper, these large and small sheets can be put in the cassette tray 1 by displacing the guide 9 forward and backward. Since the guide 9 is displaced only by turning the arms 10, the operation is so simple that wrong setting is not caused. This results in diminishing troubles such as paper jamming and wrong feeding. |
