PURPOSE:To reduce transshipment of load by laying rails crossing the travelling direction of a crane at right angles and providing lead-in rails extending from the above-mentioned rails to a delivery/reception point for cargoes on a crane and also lead-out rails extending to the exterior and further running a truck on these rails. CONSTITUTION:Besides rails 7 forming a long rectangle-shaped loop which extends perpendicularly to travelling direction of a stacker crane 2, lead-in rails 8 linking the rails 7 to a line 1 of storing racks are laid along with lead-out rails 9 to be laid on the contrary side of said rails 8. A truck 10 capable of turning its travelling direction at a right angle to the direction of rails 7, 8, 9 is placed on rails. Cargoes are placed onto the truck 10 by means of a forklift 11 and the like while said truck 10 is kept standby on the lead-out rails. The truck 10 runs up to the point of intersection with rails 7 and turns its direction to run as far as the end of the rails 7, and further turns its direction at each corner to continue running up to the required lead-in rails 8. |
