An evaluating circuit for variable-frequency motion signals of a motion detector, on which individial and/or periodic noise signals are superimposed, has a phase locked loop (6), the phase detector (7) of which, which is fed with the output signal of its frequency-controlled oscillator (8), is loaded with the motion signal, and a differentiating stage (13) for differentiating the frequency control signal supplied to the oscillator via a low-pass filter (9) from the phase detector, the output signal of which oscillator is used for outputting a message. <IMAGE>
